Rainmakers Awarded Contract for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Measure Instrument Development and Support (MIDS), Persons and Family Engagement (PFE) Task Order

Rainmakers Strategic Solutions (Rainmakers) was awarded the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Persons and Family Engagement (PFE) for Quality Measure Development task order; one of the first task orders released under the newly awarded MIDS indefinite deliverable indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. We will support CMS’ initiatives to improve health care quality by engaging patients and caregivers to provide valuable contributions while they actively participate on panels focused on improving how health care is delivered.

"Rainmakers is thrilled about this win. We are excited to assist CMS in executing the PFE Strategic Plan." CMS's PFE Strategic Plan reflects the importance of incorporating patient, family member, and caregiver preferences and perspectives to achieve genuine health care quality improvement."

A key focus will include maintaining the CMS PFE Toolkit, an important document that serves as a roadmap for successful engagement with persons and families. It serves as a guide to support the meaningful, intentional application of PFE principles to all policies and programs addressing health and wellbeing. Quality measures and development will create a foundation to enhance and expand awareness of PFE.

Rainmakers will use its proven technical and training solutions to generate results that inform the public about how well a provider ensures patient safety, manages symptoms, mitigates poor outcomes, facilitates population health, and enhances coordinated and patient-centered care, with respect to the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM’s) Six Aims of Care. Following the conclusion of the event, we will summarize the quality measures and how those measures would benefit the overall outcome.
