Rainmakers Awarded American Indian and Alaska Native Contract

Dec 26, 2019

The Department of Human and Health Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) Office of Evaluations and Inspections (OIE) has awarded Rainmakers Strategic Solutions LLC (Rainmakers) the Contract for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Compliance Training Development & Delivery Services.

Recognized in 2018 as a Top Management Challenge for HHS, OIG identified the need to ensure program integrity and quality of care in programs serving the AI/AN communities adversely affected by a disproportionate opioid abuse epidemic. HHS OIG focuses on program integrity with a significant emphasis on the health and welfare of each beneficiary assisted by these vital programs.

Significant challenges affect the delivery of essential services to AI/AN communities as well as the protection of funds from fraud, waste, and abuse. Training programs are necessary to ensure health care compliance for AI/AN grantees and health care providers. Rainmakers will develop and deliver culture and compliance training to educate program integrity maintenance to support the AI/AN communities.

“These training programs are vital factors in the OIG’s efforts to ensure that HHS funds are protected and that the AI/AN communities receive the maximum services and benefits that impact their communities. Our team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will strategize to identify leadership development training and outreach strategies that secure key messages and delivery methods needed to support necessary services,” explained Denise Rainey, President & CEO of Rainmakers.

Rainmakers will apply pharmaceutical and program integrity expertise, adult learning principles, stakeholder engagement best practices, and agile project management to achieve success for OIG. Scalable and sustainable in-person training, digital tools, and virtual events requiring end-to-end event management services—event planning, execution, and post-event action items—will also be delivered.
