Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a talented Social Media Specialist to administer our social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating original content in a variety of formats, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As Social Media Specialist, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively. Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.


  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Collaborate with other team members to stay up-to-date with work activities to find and share relevant content
  • Monitor stakeholder channels and news to find and share relevant content
  • Recommend best practices for SEO performance, monitor web traffic metrics and provide quarterly reports
  • Ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Collaborate with the Senior Designer and oversee social media account design (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness,
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications


  • Five or more years of proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist
  • Hands on experience in content management for government agency stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
  • BS degree in Social Media, Marketing or relevant field
  • Expertise with Adobe applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Excellent copywriting skills

Additional skills Not Required but Nice to Have

  • Experience with web content updates
  • Working knowledge of Word Press
  • Working knowledge of Divi 3.0
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Affects
